What's in a Name?It's not easy to come up with a great name to match a great product. This is the story of how we got our name, Sweet Chow. Over a decade ago our pet Chow, Ruby, came into our lives. We found her wandering and homeless on the streets of Hartford, CT. In spite of the fact that we were warned not to take in an unpredictable breed with an unknown background, our family took a chance on her. She proved to be a sweet, gentle and affectionate addition to our family. When it came time to name our granola, the choice of Sweet Chow won, hands down. Sadly, Ruby passed away in 2010, but her memory and the joy she gave us will not.In memory of Ruby, Sweet Chow donates 2% of every sale to animal rescue organizations to help save the lives of animals in need of shelter, food and protection. |
